MYXATHESYS, J. C. Fontanive's first solo exhibition in Brazil, turned the gallery into a living machine. Abandoning screens and static images, the artist filled the walls and ceiling with hand-built kinetic sculptures — machined metal, steel cable, pulleys, and small motors choreographed into motion. Each piece is a drawing set free into three dimensions: line, shape, and color unfolding not through light, but through gravity, torque, and the physics of moving parts. Gears turn, rods swing, cables pull — an analog orchestra of whirring and clatter that fills the room like breath. In MYXATHESYS, mechanics become poetry, and the architecture itself seems to think — every wall alive with motion, every ceiling a mind at work.
